DN-flanged process heaters
General
DN-flanged process heaters can be either tank or flow heater types. They can be used to heat air, various gases and water vapour.
The most common heated liquid is water. Both low and high viscosity organic liquids, such as bitumen, can be heated. Typical applications include heating of liquids or gases in process industry.
Challenges
- Material cost
- Material strength
- Heat transfer
- Forces created by flow
- Pressure drop
- Contamination
- Corrosion
- Pressure vessel requirements for materials and dimensioning
- Installation and operation
- Official requirements
Solutions
Process heaters are designed so that heat transfer and pressure drop calculations can be made with mathematical models. This eliminates the need for verification of heat transfer with geometrical models.
We can use a wide variety of different materials for different applications. Loval Oy has a well trained and experienced design and installation personnel.
Our vacuum, furnace and torch brazing processes are process approved and we have a well trained personnel to carry out the work.
We have a long experience of different operating conditions and have solutions for even the most demanding of applications. Heaters can be supplied complete with flow vessels and required controls.
