Good examples of our product development work in this area are our new plate heat exchangers and integrated plate heat exchanger-flow-through heaters. Compact size, reliable brazed construction and high efficiency make these a good choice for heat pumps and corresponding applications.

The main strength however becomes apparent only later – long life and cost effective operation achieved through correct material choice and sophisticated manufacturing technology.

Brazed plate heat exchangers can be used as evaporators, condensers, steam superheaters and for heating and cooling of liquids. This type of heat exchangers are widely used also in various processes involving clean substances and in heating, plumbing and air conditioning circuits. A precondition is that the substances need to be clean and no solid particles can be present that can cause a risk of blocking.

Loval are experts in brazing technology. We have used various brazing methods for already 50 years. Our vacuum brazing technology ensures leak-proof construction of our heat exchangers. All our heat exchangers go through helium leak testing procedure and are pressure tested in accordance with PED regulations.

Models HP-64, HP-64 B and IHP-64A/B are specially designed for evaporators and condensers in heat pumps and cooling units. Cyclic stress caused by heat pumps and cooling aggregates has been taken into account when designing and testing heat exchangers.

HP-64 series heat exchangers are also well suited for heating and cooling of normal liquids. These models can be equipped with different types of connectors.
